Sometimes, all we need are new ways of seeing, and new tools to help us find our way in order to embrace our own process of transformation. If you resonate with wanting a deeper understanding of yourself and aren’t sure where to begin, please consider this course.

The event has been designed to be available to everyone; it is an all-levels workshop, open to anyone including those who've never meditated. Comfortable clothing is recommended so you can simply to be as comfortable as possible during training.

In this heart-opening and experiential setting, you will discover:

  • How to meditate, even if you’ve found it difficult before.

  • Practical tools to enter stillness.

  • Ways to do as a means to quiet your mind and body.

  • Actions to take when you encounter resistance.

  • Theories about the different levels of consciousness.

  • What expanding your awareness means.

Weekend intensives are ideal for people who can’t leave home for an entire week or weekend to attend an out-of-town retreat. They offer the benefits of in-person learning and the opportunity to build community. Additionally, our building houses a group room and yoga studio, as well as massage therapists on-site.

Weekend Intensive Format

The …Into Being Series is divided into three Weekend Intensives. Each part in the series takes place over a full Saturday and partial Sunday. View my calendar for upcoming Weekend Intensive dates and agendas.

PART 1: Doing.

In the first segment, called "Doing," we will focus on techniques to quiet the busy mind and explore four different forms of meditation: Focused, Mindful, Mantra, and Spiritual.

Throughout the segment, we will gradually increase the duration of our practice from 5 minutes to 40 minutes or longer. This progression will allow you to deepen your meditation experience by quieting the agitation that prevents us from successfully practicing.

PART 2: Stopping.

The second segment, "Stopping," will delve deeper into focused and mindfulness forms of meditation. We will also explore Mary O'Malley's Six Levels of Higher Consciousness and spend more time in the pause, the space between thoughts.

PART 3: Expanding.

In the final segment, "Expanding," we will deepen our meditative practice and explore philosophies from various spiritual traditions. We will focus on mantra and spiritual forms of meditation, allowing you to expand your awareness of your deepest Self.
